Our First Questionnaire Draft

This is our first questionnaire draft:

We are conducting a survey on children’s learning by designing a device that communicates with them. This device consists of a visual, sound and speech recognition of objects. Please take a few minutes of your time to complete this small questionnaire. Please circle as applies.

Question 1 - How much time do you spend with your child per day?

A. 0 – 5 hours

B. 6 - 10 hours
C. 11 - 15 hours
D. 16 - all day

Question 2 - What activities do you conduct to aid the learning of your child?

A. Verbal communication
B. Play children’s games
C. Conduct outdoor activities
D. Read stories
E. All of the above

Question 3 - What kind of outdoor activities would you do with your child?

A. Take them to the park

We wanted to give this questionnaire to parents. However, after much discussion, we decided that it might not be as significant as interviews because the results of the questionnaire may be too broad as some parents might give different response. Therefore, weare going to use interview and observation technique as part of our information gathering.
